STRIKE ANYWHERE ROCK AGAINST BUSH

STRIKE ANYWHERE have had an incredibly busy year, they’ve done some serious touring in support of their raucous call to arms, Exit English LP/CD (JT1087). The band hit the shores of Australia late last year, toured both US coasts with The Bouncing Souls, headlined the Jade Tree United tour, shared the European Deconstruction Tour with the likes of Pennywise and Lagwagon. Now, just when you think the band might finally put their feet up to relax, the boys from Richmond are about to head out on perhaps their most potent tour to date. Beginning September 18th STRIKE ANYWHERE, along with , The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave fame), and punk popsters , will set out to
The tour will be extensive, hitting both coast and a good number of "battleground" states. So get out have some fun and take part in some good ol’ fashioned punk rock dissent!

CMJ always gives us a good excuse to pack up and head to NYC for an extended weekend spent in dark, cavernous rooms with loud music and stank bands. This year we hope to squeeze ourselves into the one of New York’s most notoriously dank rooms and we couldn’t be more thrilled. On Saturday October 16th we will be hosting our 2004 showcase at CBGB and the line up couldn’t be tighter. Punk hotshots FROM ASHES RISE are coming out specially to headline the nights festivities, joining them will be Seattle bad boys THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES, PAINT IT BLACK, BREATHER RESIST and Canada’s freshest export DESPISTADO.

Also making their Jade Tree debut, opening the show, will be THE LOVED ONES. Featuring members of The Curse, Kid Dynamite and Trial by Fire, the three piece has been around since May and already have played with the best and brightest in the scene including The Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio, The Explosion and None More Black. The band is an explosive mix of punk sensibilities, rock riffs, and raspy vocals. Brian Mcternan (Thrice, Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere) is slated to produce their CD EP for an early 2005 release.

Expect big things, as earnest, heart-felt sing-alongs simply don’t get any better than this.

OMAHA’S STATISTICS BRING THE HOT

STATISTICS, hook-ladened Leave Your Name CD (JT1091) has, since its January release, been making waves with both critics and fans alike. The brainchild of Nebraskan Denver Dalley, STATISTICS have been wowing people with their unabashed love of both lilting sonic soundscapes and buoyant rawk songcraft. Now fresh off of a month long jaunt with The Velvet Teen — where the bands had the honor of playing the last official show at Chicago’s Fireside Bowling Alley [RIP] — the boys are getting ready to saddle up again, this time with Seattle based punsters Minus The Bear.

BREATHER RESIST BRING THE HEAVY

BREATHER RESIST‘s, skull crushing debut full length Charmer CD (JT1098) is gearing up for an October 5th launch onto the unsuspecting world. The Louisville, Kentucky four-some are planning some serious mileage leading up to and following the release of the record, first up is a month long jaunt road testing all the new material while peeling the paint off the walls of various clubs across the nation. Beginning in Chicago and landing a month later in Louisville for a record release show with Pelican, get out and see this band if you’re lucky enough to have them tear through your town. If you make it through the night, you’ll thank us in the morning!
