Former Jade Tree employee Christopher McCann has recently put his speedy 1990 Ford Festiva up for sale. Mr. McCann, who was known around the office during his two-year tenure as “Joe Subaru”, switched over to Ford when his trusted 1986 Subaru GL finally bit the dust a few months back. Apparently, Mr. McCann has been attempting to make the switch back to the respected Subaru family for weeks now and is looking to finance his return to the brand with proceeds from the sale of the Ford, which is priced at a convenient $500.00. Many Jade Tree fans may remember Mr. McCann’s previous entry into the Jade Tree news on August 1, 2001 after he was asked to leave a local Subaru dealer after he was caught “lounging” in several vehicles. Interested parties may inquire about the vehicle at email@example.com.

PEDRO THE LION are out right now, touring the country in support of the recently released Achilles’ Heel (JT1095). The record has been blowing up the spot since it’s May release, garnering a considerable 5 out of 5 from Alternative Press Magazine in a review that embraced Achilles Heel as, “heartbreakingly brilliant…”
A second batch of late summer tour dates have just been added, where PEDRO THE LION will join up with Omaha cuties and The Western States.
DESPISTADO’S THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE (JT1096) is now available. After bouncing relentlessly from club to club, harnessing their sweltering live show, the boys finally settled into the studio and came out with six tracks that are as spastic as they are potent – as much a mix of Wire’s artful passion as Modest Mouse’s steadfast quirk. Angular, driving, and thoroughly commanding DESPISTADO are just out the gate and already hold court as the next Canadian band to watch out for.
In other Prairie news, DESPISTADO are fresh off a full Canadian tour, where they dropped all the hits from THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE while debuting new tracks from their recently recorded full length, now slated for a fall release. A full US tour is in the works, but in the meantime check out some links to what the press has been saying.
