The most bumping party in Austin has just been finalized and it’s official, if you’re not at the JADE TREE showcase this year you’re simply not at SXSX. If headliner PEDRO THE LION’S booty jams aren’t enough to tickle your fancy, please give serious consideration to the totally amazing line up below. Also we will actually be leaving the frigid caves of Delaware and would love to hang – so please come out, rock out, and say hello.
The door price has not been determined by SXSW yet, but there will be tickets for sale at the door so get there early. Badges, and wristbands have first preference. Doors are at 7 pm and the party starts promptly at 8 pm.

After destroying the entire US with The Bouncing Souls just after the release of Exit English LP/CD (JT1086) this past September, the boys of STRIKE ANYWHERE headed north to Canada before trouncing the other side of the pond for a solid month – only to return home to the joys of slush, snow and bitter cold inherent in a Richmond/Vermont winter. Well…the warm memories of sweat-stained sing-alongs and beer-soaked backrooms must have woken them from their chilly slumber because after only a few weeks to enjoy their soy hot cocoas the band is already heading back out on the road again. This time bringing with them French-Canadian’s as they cross the coasts delivering the fist-pumping anthems we all need to lift up our post-holiday blues.
Please consult the Jade Tree tour page for updates.

So while we’ve all been biding our time, eating chips and watching Average Joe Hawaii JOAN OF ARC’S ever-prolific, never overly-pedantic Tim Kinsella has launched yet another creative outlet and planned a full US tour. Beginning February JOAN OF ARC, still hot on the heels of So Much Staying Alive and Lovelessness[/I] LP/CD (JT1081), will be going coast to coast — bringing with them not only the tag team styling of Bobby Burg’s but also debuting Chicago’s newest bad boys, the Kinsella fronted Make/Believe.
More information is forthcoming and while we scurry to post updates you can read up on what the press had to say about So Much Staying Alive and Lovelessness[/I] by scoping the links below.
CEX’SMaryland Mansions LP/CD (JT1090) has, as expected, got people talking. Out the gate, his newest record has the press polarized. As much a mixture of hip hop hooks and dark wave sheen, as it is another notch in Rjyan Kidwell’s diverse belt and a testament to his ever-changing persona. Check out some of the links below to see what peeps be saying.
